Received training and certification from mentor, Shiva Rae.
This serves as extended education credits with the intention of staying current with pregnancy applications in teaching asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation to women and men moving into parenthood.

2005-2006 Marti served on the board of directors for the first yoga community service organization, Yoga4good.com.
She planned and hosted local yoga events to benefit charities including:

• Global Aids Interfaith Alliance
  
• The Opportunity Center of the Midpeninsula
  
• Stanford Cancer Center

Methodology  Training Instructor   Marti served on faculty at the Avalon Yoga Teacher Training Program, developed to "help each practitioner create a strong personal practice by following a Yogic Path. The purpose was also to uphold and maintain the highest standard of safety and instruction for all Yoga teachers."

2004-2005 Trance Ritual Facilitator Training Program
Received certification to integrate shamanic trance dance rituals with trance yoga facilitation. Examples:

In addition, Marti's teaching experience includes the media where she was co-producer and featured instructor in her own yoga television show on KMVTV, Mountain View, California.

New Opportunities

In the spirit of continuing to bring yoga to the public, Marti has begun presenting yoga to many organizations outside of the fitness world. Recently, she was a featured speaker at an event for the Genesis Women's Group and at another event for the Palo Alto United School District. Marti is very excited about this new direction and hopes to continue working with more schools and women's groups in the near future.
